OSRORG002 Daat “Orange Line” b/w Deep Blue Remix
It can be argued that DJ Clever is Deep Blue’s biggest fan. When Sean agreed to do a 12″ for Offshore Recordings back in 2002, Brett was over the moon. The two have kept tabs on each other since and subsequent Deep Blue tracks have appeared on Offshore. With the relaunch Offshore Recordings, Brett immediately went to Sean for music. Luckily, Deep Blue came out of retirement to remix Orange Line by Daat. To celebrate the remix and the imminent release of another piece of vinyl bearing the Deep Blue mark, DJ Clever put together this tribute mix. The current version is re-recorded since the original version in May. The tracklist has been slightly altered.
If I’m not posting about skateboards, then I’m posting about sneakers, Oakley’s, music OR, you guessed it, cycling jerseys.
So, why would this post be any different. Check out the latest cycling jersey offering from Offshore Recordings.
Only a few in existence, but available to purchase in sizes Medium and Large. Send me a note if you’re interested in one.

The rumors are true, there will be a collaboration series between Offshore (which has been on a bit of a hiatus) and UK based Organic. Various other websites, including Organic and Knowledge already let the cat out of the bag, so I’m just going to link the audio with few words.
The A-Side comes in the form of Fracture & Neptune going back in on a track they did for Offshore a few years back, “Ups & Downs.” They emerge with the 2012 VIP, which falls directly in line with recent output on their label, Astrophonica.
The B-Side also encompasses Mr. Fracture, but this time paired up with Qualified as Compound One to remix one of the most notable tracks from the Offshore back catalog, “I Am Metal.” Produced by Graphic, it features the vocal talents of Beans from Anti Pop Consortium. Compound One bring a bionic, pulsing remix fit for a late 90’s Headz session at Blue Note.
Stay tuned for more promotional materials surfacing before the February 20th release date!
I’ve finally gotten around to recording a new Drum & Bass mix. It’s mainly the tunes I played a few weeks back at Alteration, so if you missed that relive it here and now. I mixed it in one take with both vinyl and CD (no mystery which tracks are from which source), so please pardon any slips.
Please join me this Wednesday at Sullivan Room for the 3 Year Anniversary of Alteration.
I’ll be DJing along with Optiv from Cause4Concern, Rockman, Nychavok and True Nature.
The event is 21+ at Sullivan Room, get there before midnight for a reduced entry of $5.
Expect a very eclectic Drum & Bass set full of classics, hidden gems and forthcoming material.
