Brooklyn bound for the Red Hook Criterium. Stop by the merch table to say “Hi.”
It’s hard to believe that a week has passed since I ran the Red Hook Crit 5K. The 5am wake up call for a cycling race in Central Park followed by the 70 miles of riding probably didn’t help my cause, but such is life. I still managed to post at time of 17:59, which breaks down to 5:48 minute mile pace. My average from a 6k in the winter was 6:07 minute mile pace, so there is an improvement there.
Find an entire photo set from the race posted on Racing Captured courtesy of Anthony Skorochod. Also Red Hook Crit created a photo blog full of various photographers contributions from the night.
I just signed up for the Red Hook Crit Run on March 24th.
It will be my first 5k since high school. Though, I did a 5 miler and 4 miler in the late fall/early winter and fared well.
Come cheer for me, I’ll be flying the Gage + DeSoto Track Club flag.
Please join me this Wednesday at Sullivan Room for the 3 Year Anniversary of Alteration.
I’ll be DJing along with Optiv from Cause4Concern, Rockman, Nychavok and True Nature.
The event is 21+ at Sullivan Room, get there before midnight for a reduced entry of $5.
Expect a very eclectic Drum & Bass set full of classics, hidden gems and forthcoming material.
That’s right NYC, I’ll be DJing this Sunday, July 17th at Alteration. I’m on from 12-1am, so swing by The Delancey and check it out. Expect a whole bunch of unreleased goodies alongside some classics that range from Drum & Bass to Dubstep to this newfangled Bass music (at least that’s what the kids are calling it).
Some may consider this announcement late, or others may consider it just the right amount of time. Regardless, I’ll be DJing at Alteration this Sunday, April 3rd from 11pm to 12:30am street level at The Delancey. Expect currents, classics and Offshore and various other dubs I’ve been sent over the past few weeks.
I even put together an all vinyl 30 min teaser mix on Mixcloud to get everyone hyped for it!

Despite it’s sprawl, it’s an interesting town. The short list – vacation with my wife, Tour de Palm Springs, Santa Monica and Venice with family, cycling PCH and Malibu, Rapha events, Oakley headquarters and Natas Kaupas.
I can’t believe that I’m just now getting around to posting about Motion Pictures. The event was well attended and I can safely say a good time was had by all. Gage & DeSoto did such a great job documenting it with words and photos that I’ll default to him.
The Giro themselves tweeted about it and Rapha mentioned Motion Pictures on their blog. I guess we don’t really have a choice but to continue it. Look out for a post-NAHBS screening of another monumental stage from the cycling archives.
