Enter Offshore and OrganicJanuary 24th, 2012

The rumors are true, there will be a collaboration series between Offshore (which has been on a bit of a hiatus) and UK based Organic. Various other websites, including Organic and Knowledge already let the cat out of the bag, so I’m just going to link the audio with few words.

The A-Side comes in the form of Fracture & Neptune going back in on a track they did for Offshore a few years back, “Ups & Downs.” They emerge with the 2012 VIP, which falls directly in line with recent output on their label, Astrophonica.

The B-Side also encompasses Mr. Fracture, but this time paired up with Qualified as Compound One to remix one of the most notable tracks from the Offshore back catalog, “I Am Metal.” Produced by Graphic, it features the vocal talents of Beans from Anti Pop Consortium. Compound One bring a bionic, pulsing remix fit for a late 90′s Headz session at Blue Note.

Day-Glo CXOctober 28th, 2011

It’s really only fitting with my first cyclocross race tomorrow morning that I post my bike. I hinted at the Specialized Crux in my SSR post, but here it is in all of it’s day-glo glory. On a side note, I purchased my first CX bike in September of 2006, which I sold. I replaced it with another (which I sold) and never participated in a single race. Now five years later I’m back at it, but will actually race my bike this time.

Maybe I’ll even post some race pictures at some point.

Late to the PartyOctober 14th, 2011

I finally upgraded to Dura Ace 7900 after riding the same 7800 parts for nearly four years. Of course, I re-appropriated the 7800 parts onto my CX rig, but let’s save those photos for another time.

For now, enjoy this lovely specimen- an Independent Fabrication SSR constructed of Columbus XCR Stainless Steel welded by Tyler Evans (more recently, one of the founders of Firefly). The paint was custom for Rapha Racing NYC. Five of these were made, each noted by the moniker on the top tube. Mine happens to read “Cleaver”, which makes it hard to confuse for anyone else’s.
